WTO Chairs Programme
The WTO Chairs Programme (WCP) aims to enhance knowledge and understanding of the trading system among academics and policymakers in developing countries through curriculum development, research, and outreach activities by universities and research institutions.
CWTS UGM has been actively producing various research and advocacy outputs related to contemporary trade issues as a part of the WCP since 2010, such as global and regional commodity supply chains and production networks, social values in trade (justice, environment, health, human rights, etc.), electronic trade and industry 4.0, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), and Small and Medium Industries (IKM) in international trade, as well as goods and services trading activities that are limited by the global COVID-19 pandemic. Since 2020, CWTS UGM has put the circular economy as a focal point of CWTS UGM’s research and advocacy under the WCP scheme.
