The Research and Publications Division plays a role in managing UGM PSPD research activities which focus on studies related to the dynamics and governance of world trade, strengthening competitiveness, and fair and sustainable trade. In addition to research activities, the Research and Publications Division is also responsible for managing UGM PSPD research output which includes opinion articles, policy summaries, and the UGM PSPD journal, Journal of World Trade Studies (JWTS), which is published twice a year.

The Policy Partnership Division plays a role in managing the production of knowledge related to policy at the national and subnational levels together with PSPD UGM’s strategic partners through workshops (Indonesian Economic Democracy Workshop), open discussions, podcasts and other activities. The Policy Partnership Division is also responsible for conducting joint policy studies and interventions with other strategic institutions, such as research institutions, non-governmental organizations and policy makers to encourage collaboration.

The Meditech Division is responsible for downstreaming knowledge from research results and PSPD UGM activities. This effort is carried out through informative and interactive information dissemination in the PSPD UGM dissemination channels which include websites, audio-visual podcasts (Starting Point), and social media to encourage access to knowledge and involvement of the wider community in world trade discourse.
