Dr. Riza Noer Arfani is the Director of Center for World Trade Studies, Universitas Gadjah Mada and current Chair-holder of the WTO Chairs Programme in Center for World Trade Studies, Universitas Gadjah Mada since 2010.
Dr. Riza Noer Arfani is a scholar in international relations/international political economy with 20+ years of experience in academic (teaching and research) works & policy consultancy. His major topics and issues of interest include international trade, environment, and governance & conflict management. Since 2010, he has been working with the WTO (World Trade Organization) (under its academic chairs program) and other trade-related international research centers and networks. He is adept in managing higher education workspace and international collaborations since the end of the 1990s at the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

Dr. Maharani Hapsari

Dr. Maharani Hapsari is the Executive Secretary of Center for World Trade Studies, Universitas Gadjah Mada, and Co-Chair of UGM-WTO Chair Programme. She is an active lecturer at the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Social and Political Science, Universitas Gadjah Mada. She has 15 years of experience in academic teaching, research, consulting, and community service in the areas of local development, trade, environment, disaster and resilience, ecology and religion, as well as community-based environmental resource governance.

Division
- Research and Publication
Research and Publication Division is responsible for managing and carrying out CWTS UGM’s research activities and publications in order to maintain CWTS UGM’s credibility as a learning center for trade and circular economy. The publication of CWTS UGM’s journal (Journal of World Trade Studies) along with other types of research output is a part of this division’s responsibility
2. Policy Partnership
Policy Partnership Division acts as a bridge between the visions and missions of CWTS with the realizations. This division is responsible for encouraging CWTS research downstream activities by organizing policy advocacy, building and maintaining partnerships, as well as conducting capacity building for local/central government, business/industry groups, and the wider community.
