Trade Labs
CWTS UGM is currently working on a Trade Labs program that focuses on "Building a Fair Global Trade Ecosystem through Internationalization of Local Entrepreneurship". The result of this activity is an upgrading of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Gamplong Tourism Village, Sleman Regency, which was held on 21 July 2020. Through this activity, CWTS UGM seeks to increase the entrepreneurial capacity and export capabilities of local SMEs by collaborating with the ASEAN Nagoya Club (ANC) and some leading companies in Indonesia.
Since 2021, CWTS UGM has started to carry out the first phase applications of Trade Labs, which include policy advocacy, research, network building, and capacity building to make CWTS UGM as a circular economy learning center. These activities will be continued until the full adoption of Trade Labs in 2022 with the main research theme of “Commodity Diplomacy, Circular Economy, Internationalization of SMEs, Coaching and Mentoring, and Cultural Acculturation.”
